What is 8th grade promotion

After promotion, the eighth grade students will be released to parents to go home. We also ask that everyone leaves in a timely manner since we have other promotions scheduled for that day. All 6th and 7th grade students will be on distance learning from home on promotion day with a minimum day dismissal at am. We want to remind everyone that school dress code is still in effect for the promotion ceremony. Typical dress is semi-formal. We thank you in advance for your cooperation. Granada has had a wonderful year thanks to our students, parents, and staff.

We can't wait to celebrate y our amazing 8th grade students! Students will not be required to purchase gowns for this ceremony. While we want to celebrate those students who have met middle school criteria for promotion, we also want to emphasize the significance of a high school graduation by having students experience the traditional cap and gown ceremony when they complete high school.
